Adding new Internet only Passwords (WPA2)
A device connecting to an Internet only password cannot communicate with any other device on the network. A WPA2 network must be enabled to add a new Internet only password. To enable a WPA2 network, see How do I enable multiple passwords?
- Open the Network page.
- Open the Passwords page. If a WAP3 network is also enabled you will need to swipe to find the Passwords tile. Tap on it to open the Passwords page
- Each type of access for multiple passwords can be found below the SSID. Tap the Internet- only tab to select it.
- Under the tabs should be a button. Tap it to Create Internet-only password.
- Enter the password you would like to create.
- Select the expiry time.
- The buttons below the password entry show how long the password will be active before it is disabled. Options for disabling a password are: Never, after 1 hour, after 3 hours, and at the End of day (11:59pm). Never is selected by default.
- Tap the Create button at the bottom of the screen to add the password.
A pop-up notification will confirm the new password has been created. All Internet only passwords can be disabled, deleted or reactivated once created.
Note: Guests using an Internet-only password will only be able to connect to the 2.4 GHz and 5G Hz bands since 6 GHz operation on compatible hardware also require WPA3.
