Run the speed test through the app
How do I run Device Speed Test?
Unlike the Network Speed Test , this speed test measures the device's connection through the pods all the way to the internet.
- Open device details for the device running the app. The device may be found in several locations including the Device tab of the Network page and in assigned devices in a person profile.
- Note: The device running the Plume Home app is the only device the speed test can be run on.
- Tap the Device speed test button. The Device Speed test button will only appear when the device is connected to the Plume network. Tapping it will start the speed test.
The results will be displayed once the device speed test is complete.
Many factors impact the device speed test results including:

Distance from the node

Interference from external sources

Other devices consuming bandwidth during the test

The WiFi capabilities of the device
Notes
Running a speed test may affect the performance of other connected devices. The Device Speed Test will not be available if your network is offline, you are not connected to your network, or if the speed test servers are temporarily unresponsive. If this is the case, please check your connection and try running the test again later.
