How do I set a quick Time Out for a person or device?

You can briefly freeze or pause internet access for a single person or specific device instantly through the Time Out feature.

You can also set a global Time Out for multiple devices) with a custom time frame.  If you want to set a scheduled Internet break, consider our Schedule Internet Freeze feature.  

Setting a Time Out for a single device or person

1. Navigate to the device or person you would like to pause Internet access for. Notice the Pause button on the top of the person or device's card.
2. Tapping the button will open a dialogue box with 3 options for a Time Out or Freeze:
   • Set Time out - This lets you customize the duration of the Time Out.   
   • Freeze Until midnight - This option lasts until midnight of the current day 
   • Freeze indefinitely - This will freeze Internet access until it is manually canceled.
3. If you chose Set Time out option, set the duration of the Time Out and tap on Done to save. 
4. The person or devices will show they are currently in a Time Out along with a countdown of when the Time Out expires.                                                                                   
5. If you wish to cancel the Time Out or Freeze, tap on the X      

You also have the ability to freeze or pause internet access on a device on a schedule through the schedule freeze options.
